NEW YORK (AP) - A man is dead after he collapsed in the middle of the street in New York City and police say two cars drove over him before continuing on.

It happened early Sunday in Queens, at the intersection of 115th Avenue and 131st Street.

Surveillance video shows the 43-year-old man falling into the intersection and being hit about 19 seconds later. WCBS-TV reports the driver briefly brakes before continuing on. Other cars also drive around him.

WABC-TV reports a second car rolled over him about two minutes later.

Video footage shows a driver pull in front of the man’s body after nearly five minutes.

The victim, who wasn’t immediately identified, died at the scene.

Police say they’re looking for a black sport utility vehicle.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
