FILLMORE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say the owner-operator of a construction equipment business in western Michigan has died after a crane tipped over there.

The Allegan County Sheriff’s Department says 55-year-old Robert Jay Geurink of Holland was operating the crane around 9 a.m. Tuesday at Holland Equipment Services / A&B; Farms in Fillmore Township when it tipped over and pinned him inside the cab.

The department says the investigation so far shows Geurink was working alone to move a large piece of equipment from a flatbed trailer when the crane rolled onto its side.

The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration will investigate the incident.
