CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - A portion of Main Street in Concord, New Hampshire, is about to open up to traffic again following a construction makeover.

Parts of the street have been under construction since the fall of 2014. The project has been done in chunks, with South Main Street being the last part.

A ceremony and parade featuring the Concord High School Marching Band and dignitaries including Democratic Sen. Jeanne Shaheen is scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday.

A reception is planned at the Capitol Center for the Arts on South Main Street.
