BALTIMORE (AP) - Baltimore police say a department crime technician and her boyfriend have been arrested after handguns and suspected heroin were found in their home and rented car.

The department said in a news release that police raided the home of 37-year-old Timika Jones and 39-year-old Clarence Jones Jr. on Wednesday.

Police say two handguns; 125 gel capsules containing suspected heroin; a capsule machine; and more than $100,000 in cash were found in the home and car.

Authorities say both are charged with narcotics possession, intent to distribute, and handgun violations. Police say Timika Jones was suspended without pay. The department says she did not have access to the drug laboratory or storage.

Online court records don’t list lawyers for Timika Jones or Clarence Jones.
