PROVO, Utah (AP) - Eric Mika was 6 of 8 from the floor for 18 points and blocked three shots as BYU drubbed Coppin State 96-59 on Thursday night.

Mika, who had a career-high 26 points and 18 rebounds in BYU’s 82-73 win over Princeton on Monday, hit a jumper and made two free throws to open the scoring against the Eagles. BYU was up 48-32 at the break and won the second half 48-27.

Nick Emery added 13 points and TJ Haws and Elijah Bryant chipped in 11 points apiece as 12 BYU players scored. Yoeli Childs grabbed 15 rebounds and L.J. Rose dished out five assists for the Cougars (2-0)

BYU was 34 of 65 (52.3) from the field, while limiting Coppin State (0-4) to 25.9 percent shooting. The Cougars also controlled the boards, pulling down 63 rebounds to 39 for the Eagles.

Dejuan Clayton had 11 points and Terry Harris Jr. 10 for the Eagles.
