MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Two of Wisconsin’s three Democratic congressional members are backing Rep. Nancy Pelosi over Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan as House minority leader.

Ryan announced Thursday that he was challenging Pelosi, who has led House Democrats since 2002.

Rep. Mark Pocan and Rep. Gwen Moore both back Pelosi. Pocan represents Madison and south-central Wisconsin and Moore represents Milwaukee.

Rep. Ron Kind represents western Wisconsin and isn’t saying who he supports. His spokeswoman Amanda Sherman says “Rep. Kind is currently focused on solving problems that impact the people of Wisconsin everyday - not DC speculation.”
