SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Austin Dasent made six 3-pointers and finished with 21 points and Savannah State rolled to a 101-93 victory over NAIA member Middle Georgia State on Thursday night.

Savannah State (1-2) coach Horace Broadnax is 12-0 in home openers.

Joshua Floyd scored 17 points and Isaiah Felder had 16 for the Tigers, who shot 24 of 52 for 46-percent shooting from the field. Jahir Cabeza and Zach Sellers added 11 points apiece.

Savannah State (1-2) took the lead for good with about nine minutes left in the first half. Floyd made a 3-pointer to spark a 20-4 run, and the Tigers cruised from there.

Kieston Standfield had 15 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Knights. Corbyn Moye scored 14 points and Brandon Sharper added 12.

It was the first meeting between the schools.
