TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Authorities say a Tulsa police officer was injured when his patrol car was rammed during a pursuit.

KOTV-TV (https://bit.ly/2fJt8Zz ) reports that the officer tried to stop a pickup driving erratically near a convenience store around 1 a.m. Thursday. A pursuit began, and Tulsa police say the suspect stopped his vehicle and then reversed, striking the officer’s patrol car. Authorities say the officer fired several shots through his windshield at the pickup as it drove away.

The officer’s arm was injured when his car’s air bag deployed during the collision.

The driver was later found and arrested on complaints of assault on a police officer, leaving the scene of an injury collision, eluding and excessive acceleration. Three other people in the vehicle were taken into custody for questioning.
