RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Twelve students are being checked out after a low-speed bus accident involving an empty tanker truck in Richmond.

Police say the crash happened Friday morning at the intersection of Cool Lane and Mechanicsville Turnpike. Police say the tanker clipped the rear bumper of the bus.

Richmond Public Schools officials say the bus was heading to Franklin Military Academy with 45 students on board. Twelve students complained of neck and back pain. The rest of the students were taken to school on another bus.

There is no information on whether any charges will be filed.
