CRANSTON, R.I. (AP) - Cranston police have arrested two men in connection with the theft last winter of two city-owned trucks fitted with snowplows.

Police said Thursday that 42-year-old Jason Lehman, of Warwick, and 48-year-old John Lyons, of Providence, are charged with two counts of larceny each, destruction of public property, and conspiracy.

Authorities say the trucks were stolen from a fenced-in area at Cranston Stadium last December. The thieves drove through a locked gate.

The trucks were found abandoned in Providence on Dec. 27, but the plows had been removed.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and there may be more suspects. The plows remain missing.

It could not immediately be determined if the suspects had lawyers.
