SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) - Two men have pleaded not guilty to kidnapping and repeatedly raping an 11-year-old girl who was dragged into a car in Santa Ana in 1999.

City News Service says Ismael Salgado of Chicago and Jose Plascencia of Phoenix entered pleas Friday in Santa Ana court.

Prosecutors claim the men dragged the girl into a car by her hair as she walked home with a friend. The other girl escaped. She was sexually assaulted in two parking areas.

Investigators recently reopened the case and authorities say DNA from Plascencia matched that collected from the rapes.
