OFFICIALS: DEPUTY SHOOTS MAN WHILE SERVING FELONY WARRANT

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office posted on social media that the shooting occurred Friday morning while deputies were trying to serve a felony arrest warrant on 35-year old Joseph Leland Fletcher.

911 CALLS: GUNMAN OMAR MATEEN SPRAYED PULSE WITH BULLETS

The city of Orlando released transcripts Friday of 911 calls from the Pulse nightclub during the first several minutes of the massacre. The transcripts were the last batch of 911 calls to be made public dealing with last June’s massacre at Pulse. A judge ordered the city to release the files following a court fight with media companies.

US SEN. BILL NELSON CALLS FOR PROBE INTO FLORIDA’S USE OF DRIVER RECORDS

Nelson, a Democrat from Florida, wrote a letter Friday to U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch asking for an investigation into whether the state is selling personal information for marketing purposes without the consent of the state’s 15 million licensed drivers. That would violate federal law.

FLORIDA’S UNEMPLOYMENT RATE TICKED UPWARD IN OCTOBER

State officials on Friday announced the state’s jobless rate was 4.8 percent in October. That’s a slight increase over the September rate, although it’s lower than the national jobless rate of 4.9 percent. The unemployment rate has hovered around the same place much of this year.

TEEN ARRESTED IN SHOOTING THAT INJURED FLORIDA BABY

Police say the girl’s father was outside his home Wednesday when he was approached by several men who were acting in a threatening way. The father then went inside the home and that’s when the men began shooting. Authorities say more than 15 shots were fired. A bullet hit the 21-month-old girl in her right thigh. She has since been released from the hospital.
