DENVER, Pa. (AP) - Six target shooters charged after a woman was hit in the neck by a stray bullet inside her parent’s Pennsylvania home must pay $120,000 in restitution.

LNP reports (https://bit.ly/2eP5gGV ) Vernon Kurtz, Kyle Sholly, Andrew Richards, Tawny Kissinger, and Amy Dunn, all of Denver; and Lebanon resident Wesley Melhuish, were also placed in a program for first-time offenders in Thursday’s sentencing. None can own a firearm while in the program.

The group had been shooting at a tree stump from a second-floor deck in February.

A stray round traveled about 1,600 feet through a field and entered an East Cocalico Township home’s window. It struck a 22-year-old Jaime Horning, who was sitting at a kitchen table.

The judge told the six they were getting “quite a break.”

A seventh person charged is to plead on Dec. 15.
