TRAFFORD, Ala. (AP) - Volunteer searchers have found the body of a missing 82-year-old Trafford woman who had Alzheimer’s disease.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Randy Christian tells media outlets that the body of Nora Wilson Hughes was found Thursday afternoon in a creek about a quarter of a mile from the home she shared with her daughter. Hughes was last seen Tuesday outside the home.

Officials say Hughes had Alzheimer’s and was known to become disoriented.

Christian says there is no indication of foul play. The coroner’s office will determine her cause of death.
