HOLLAND, Vt. (AP) - Crews are searching for a missing hunter in northern Vermont.

The Vermont State Police were notified Wednesday night of an overdue hunter in Holland. Police say they immediately tried to locate 72-year-old John “Jack” Chapman of Brattleboro, Vermont, but were unsuccessful.

Authorities say the Vermont State Police, search dogs, a wilderness response team and state game wardens and members of U.S. Border Patrol searched the area of Holland Pond on Thursday.

Police said Friday that the search was ongoing and that it would continue over the weekend if Chapman is not found.
