WAHOO, Neb. (AP) - Firefighters are battling a blaze at a downtown Wahoo bank.

Crews from Wahoo and surrounding communities responded to the call Friday after an emergency caller reported the fire near Wahoo State Bank’s roof.

A city official say power to the bank and surrounding building has been shut off. Mayor Loren Lindahl says neighboring businesses have been evacuated, including his law office.

The Wahoo Fire Department is at the scene alone with responders from Mead, Cedar Bluffs, David City and Yutan.
