DETROIT (AP) - A 67-year-old Detroit man has been arrested after a woman told police she and several other females were given drugs and forced to work as prostitutes from a home on the city’s southwest side.

The U.S. Attorney’s office says Friday that Richard Jackson has been charged in a criminal complaint with sex trafficking.

Detroit police responded Thursday to a 911 call and found the woman. She said two other adults and two juveniles also worked from the house.

The other adults were there when officers arrived, but the juveniles fled earlier through a bathroom window.

Police also found a steel gate and lock on a stairway leading to the house’s second floor.

Jackson appeared Friday in federal court and was ordered held until a bond hearing on Monday.
