BRADENTON, Fla. (AP) - A man has been sentenced to life in prison for killing two brothers while robbing their family’s Tampa Bay area convenience store.

The Bradenton Herald (https://goo.gl/P644Fv ) reports that 23-year-old Devin Chandler was sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty to both murders and the armed robbery. He had been facing a possible death sentence if convicted by a jury.

Video surveillance shows that Chandler went to the Snappy Mart in Palmetto on Labor Day 2015. After approaching the counter, the video shows Chandler pulling out a gun and shooting 23-year-old Khasem Yousef and 17-year-old Faares Yousef. Chandler then jumped over the counter and took cash from the register and cigarettes from a rack.
