PAULS VALLEY, Okla. (AP) - Authorities say a pedestrian was struck and killed by a Pauls Valley police officer’s car Thursday night.

Few details have been released about the collision, which happened at about 7 p.m. near State Highway 19 and Interstate 35. Pauls Valley Police Chief Mitch McGill tells the Pauls Valley Democrat (https://bit.ly/2fbG1gM ) that the investigation has been turned over to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Authorities say the police officer remained on the scene after the collision. The cause of the incident is not yet known.
