JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - A New Jersey felon already charged in connection with a conspiracy to murder two witnesses is now facing an unrelated attempted murder charge.

NJ.com reports (https://bit.ly/2f6xb0y ) 30-year-old Golden Williamson was also charged Thursday with several weapons offenses stemming from when police say he fired shots at a man in Jersey City on Nov. 4, 2015.

Probable cause for the new charges is under seal by order of Hudson County Superior Court Judge John Young.

Williamson and two other men were charged in February with tampering and conspiracy to murder two witnesses who were scheduled to testify in a forthcoming Jersey City murder trial.

Judge Mitzy Galis-Menendez decided Thursday that she would not disturb Williamson’s bail, which was set at $500,000 cash only during his initial hearing for the prior allegations.
