MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minneapolis police say two people were shot and wounded during a brawl at bar closing time in the city’s Warehouse District.

Officers were called early Saturday on a report of 30 to 40 people fighting. When police arrived they heard gunshots and saw people running.

Police found a man who had been shot in the ankle. Officers later learned a second man, who had been shot in the arm, was dropped off at HCMC. Both men’s wounds are not life-threatening.

Police say an officer’s squad car was struck by a vehicle as the officer arrived at the scene. The officer fired his gun once and struck the side of the vehicle. No one was hurt. The Police Department’s Internal Affairs Unit is investigating the officer’s discharging his weapon.
