ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) - A 53-year-old Anderson man tracked by his ankle monitor is accused of stabbing a man to death in his home.

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said in a release that deputies arrested Virgil Owens of Anderson about 10:30 p.m. Friday and charged him with murder. Owens wears an ankle monitor because he’s on probation.

Twenty-eight-year-old Heather Alewine and 27-year-old Eric Simpson are charged with accessory after the fact. They’re accused of harboring Owens and helping him hide evidence.

Deputies responding to Owens’ home about 8 p.m. Friday found two men with stab wounds and a woman with a head injury. Michael Yon died at an Anderson hospital. The other victims have not been identified.

Witnesses told investigators an argument escalated to violence.

It was unclear if the three had attorneys.
