GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - Gulfport’s police chief is upset that students watching a fight decided to film it and post it to social media instead of breaking up the fight.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/2gktI3q ) that Police Chief Leonard Papania says he will arrest kids who took part in Tuesday’s brawl.

But he’s also angry that instead of breaking up the fight, onlookers were jockeying for the best position to shoot video.

He says about 60 juveniles and young adults were at the fight at a park. Police say it started as an argument at a high school. Shots were fired, and Papania says a gun has been recovered.

Papania questioned what the community was teaching its kids and whether it was that kids were judged by how successful they were online.
