UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) - Rhode Island guard Jarvis Garrett has been taken off the floor of No. 21 URI’s game with No. 24 Cincinnati on a stretcher and in a neck brace.

Garrett fell hard underneath his team’s basket late in the first half of Saturday’s game at the Hall of Fame Tip-Off tournament.

He appeared to hit his head on a cameraman on his way to the ground, snapping his neck back.

He lay on the floor being treated for several minutes, before walking under his own power to the stretcher.

Garrett was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
