NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) - Authorities have arrested a 47-year-old man on suspicion of starting a fire that destroyed a large commercial building in Newport Beach and injured three people, including a firefighter.

The blaze erupted around 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 11 in an industrial area and was battled for hours by firefighters from several Orange County cities.

The flames damaged 80 storage units and several vehicles.

Police spokeswoman Jennifer Manzella tells the Orange County Register (https://bit.ly/2gGy0mG) that Albert Eugene Faulk of Anaheim was arrested Monday. He could face charges including unlawfully causing a fire to an inhabited structure. It wasn’t immediately known if he has an attorney.

Manzella says investigators aren’t sure if Faulk’s actions were intentional or accidental.
