JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say two separate crashes just 15 minutes apart left people dead on a Jacksonville highway.

The Florida Times-Union (https://goo.gl/clZeMg ) reports that the deadly collisions caused significant delays Friday afternoon on Interstate 10.

The Florida Highway Patrol says that the first crash occurred near Hammond Boulevard just before 3 p.m. followed by the another crash 11 miles to the west near U.S. 301 just before 3:15 p.m.

FHP says both crashes left victims dead, but the number of those injured and killed wasn’t immediately clear.
