LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A workshop next month at Fort Atkinson State Historical Park will teach hunters how to make deer sausage.

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says participants in the workshop will learn how to use deer meat to make bratwursts, summer sausage and breakfast sausage.

Cure Cooking of Fort Calhoun will teach the class, which costs $35, on Dec. 4.

A week later, a class on cooking with venison will be offered on Dec. 11.

Space is limited, so anyone interested in the classes should register at www.CureCooking.com/deerclasses .

Fort Atkinson is just off of U.S. Highway 75 near Fort Calhoun.
