LEXINGTON, Va. (AP) - Chris Clemons hit five 3-pointers and scored 24 points to help lead Campbell to its first road win of the season, a 67-53 win over VMI on Saturday.

Clemons finished 8 of 19 from the field overall. Shane Whitfield added 13 points and five rebounds while Andrew Eudy had a career best nine points for Campbell (2-3).

The Fighting Camels led 29-23 at the break and began to pull away midway through the second half. Eudy made a jumper with 11:40 to go to give them a 10 point lead, sparking an 8-0 spurt that ended with a Clemons 3-pointer and a 50-34 advantage.

A QJ Peterson 3-point play for VMI managed to trim its deficit back to 12, but the Keydets (1-4) never got below double digits.

Peterson was the only Keydet in double figures, finishing with 17 points.
