TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - The University of Alabama is holding public forums for the finalists for a top administrative position in Tuscaloosa.

Four people are still in the running for the job of provost and executive vice president. Three will give public presentations beginning Monday.

They are Kevin Whitaker of Alabama’s engineering college; Latha Ramchand of the University of Houston; and Chaden Djalali of the University of Iowa.

A fourth candidate, Jennifer Evans-Cowley of Ohio State University, already has held a forum.

The university of Alabama began searching for a new provost and executive vice president of academic affairs in August. The university has had interim provosts since 2012, when Judy Bonner was promoted from provost to president.
