ELLENBURG, N.Y. (AP) - Rescue crews continue the search for a Vermont hunter who hasn’t been seen since he left his hunting camp last weekend in northeastern New York.

The Plattsburgh Press-Republican reports there’s been no sign of 58-year-old Munn Boardman. State police say the search was dialed back somewhat on Thanksgiving. But it was back to full strength on Friday with some 200 searchers on the ground conducting grid searches of about 1,000 acres of mostly wooded property.

Rescue teams searched near Boardman’s camp in the Town of Ellenburg on Thanksgiving Day. Troopers say the effort continues throughout the weekend.

Efforts have been hampered by wintry weather. Parts of the region received up to 16 inches of snow.

Ellenburg is on the Adirondack Park’s northern boundary, just south of the Canadian border.
