SUFFOLK, Va. (AP) - Police say two people have been taken to the hospital after a shooting in Suffolk, Virginia.

Police say it happened Sunday morning in the 200 block of Central Avenue in downtown Suffolk. Police say when authorities arrived they found two adult men suffering from gunshot wounds. Police say one victim’s injuries are considered serious while the other victim’s injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

Police identified the men as 28-year-old Timothy Gore of Franklin and 55-year-old Charles Banks of Suffolk. Police did not say which man’s injuries were considered serious.

Police did not say what may have led to the shooting and said an investigation is ongoing.
