PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) - Three children are in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a pickup truck ran a stop sign and t-boned a minivan in Peoria on Saturday.

One of those children is on life support and might not survive.

Peoria police spokesman Officer Brandon Sheffert says the collision happened around 6 p.m. on Saturday at 87th Avenue and Deer Valley Road.

Two adults and five children were in a minivan that was struck on the side by a pickup truck that ran past a stop sign.

One child was ejected and two had to be extricated. The two adults were also seriously injured and remain hospitalized.

Sheffert said it’s not likely the driver of the pickup was impaired. The driver is cooperating with police.

The children are between ages 6 and 14.
