LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska families will have the chance to learn more about archery at Platte River State Park next month.

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is planning a free archery day on Saturday at the park.

Archery, 3-D archery, crossbows and tomahawk throwing will be available to try.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. that day at the Roger Sykes Outdoor Heritage Education Complex.

There will also be kids’ crafts and a Nerf gun range. The activities are free, but a state park permit is required.
