PHOENIX (AP) - The Latest on a fatal pedestrian collision in Phoenix (all times local):

2:58 p.m.

Police say a man has died and a 12-year-old boy is in critical condition after being struck while crossing a street in north Phoenix.

Phoenix police say the man appears to be 50 years old and was fatally struck while crossing 19th and Northern avenues. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is not believed to have been impaired.

The man and boy were walking at a crosswalk but had the red light.

Police continue to investigate and the intersection is restricted.


The Phoenix Fire Department says a 12-year-old boy and a man in his 50s are in serious condition after being struck while on foot in north Phoenix.

The two were at the intersection of 19th and Northern avenues when they were struck by a vehicle early Sunday afternoon.

Police are still investigating and that intersection will be restricted for the next few hours.
