FORT MCCOY, Fla. (AP) - Officials say a 52-year-old woman who was pulled from a burning home on Thanksgiving Day has died.

A neighbor called 911 on Thursday afternoon after seeing smoke. Firefighters arrived within five minutes and 23 firefighters from 10 units battled the fire. They found Dianne Bissonette in a bedroom and brought her from the home.

She was taken to a hospital in Gainesville where she died on Friday.

Marion County spokesman Nick Zoller tells the Ocala Star-Banner (https://bit.ly/2gt3ueF ) that Bissonette was a longtime county employee.

The state fire marshal’s office is investigating along with detectives from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
