HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Hartford police are investigating a report that a woman was assaulted at the train and bus station because of her sexual orientation.

Officers responded to the station at about 2 a.m. Sunday. The woman said she had pain in her arm and leg, and she was brought to a hospital.

Police said they didn’t find any witnesses or suspects at the scene, and surveillance cameras did not capture the assault.

The woman described the suspect as a black man with a light complexion and bald head who is 30 to 35 years old and about 230 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call Hartford police.
