ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Police have released the name of the man who was fatally shot inside an Albany bar early on Thanksgiving morning.

The Albany Police Department on Monday identified the victim as 26-year-old Wendell Hill of Troy.

Police say Hill was killed and three other patrons were wounded when someone opened fire around 2 a.m. Thursday inside Rocks, a bar popular with the LGBT community. Officials say the three wounded people suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say detectives have identified a person they believe is a suspect in the shooting. The suspect’s name isn’t being released.

Investigators say Hill and the suspect knew each other. Police have said the shooting wasn’t bias-related.
