PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia police say a robbery suspect has been shot by the man he was trying to victimize.

Police haven’t released the name of either man involved in the shooting in the city’s Feltonville neighborhood Sunday evening.

Police say the suspect tried to take unspecified personal items from the other man, who shot the suspect in the thigh and buttocks.

The suspect is recovering at Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

Police recovered a gun at the scene but haven’t said whether the alleged robbery victim could face charges in the shooting.
