EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut State Police have charged a man they allege was driving 123 mph with three young children in his car.

Ricardo Torres was arrested Saturday on charges of reckless driving, risk of injury to a minor and reckless endangerment. He was released after posting $5,000 bail. It wasn’t immediately known if he has an attorney.

Police say the 41-year-old Terryville man was clocked going 123 mph in a 55 mph zone on Interstate 84 in East Hartford.

Police say a woman was in the passenger seat and children ages 5, 9 and 12 were in the back.

Torres is due in court on Dec. 13.
