MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a woman whose body was found in a car pulled from Lake Mendota in Madison.

The Dane County medical examiner’s office identified the woman as 51-year-old Julie Metcalfe of Fitchburg. Preliminary autopsy results indicate she drowned. Additional tests are being conducted.

Madison police spokesman Joel DeSpain says someone who saw the car in the lake called authorities, divers were sent into the water and the body of the woman was discovered Monday morning.

WKOW-TV (https://bit.ly/2fEIPzV ) reports first responders were called to Spring Harbor Park about 7:30 a.m.
