ROMULUS, Mich. (AP) - The Federal Aviation Administration says it’s received multiple reports of green lasers being pointed at aircraft near Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

The FAA says in a statement that it has notified local law enforcement of the reports, which came in Monday night at the airport in Romulus. No injuries were reported.

Airport spokeswoman Erica Donerson tells the Detroit Free Press (https://on.freep.com/2eiEMgX ) that airport police are investigating the reports.

Similar incidents have been reported previously at the airport as well as at other U.S. airports. It’s illegal to use lasers to distract airplanes.
