SPAFFORD, N.Y. (AP) - Officials are set to resume their search for a diver who went missing in one of New York’s Finger Lakes.

State police say two men were in a boat on Skaneateles (skin-ee-AT’-luhs) Lake just after 2 p.m. Monday when one of the men went diving into the water about a quarter-mile offshore. The diver didn’t resurface and the man on the boat called for help.

Two rescue divers were brought in to look for the man, but failed to locate him. The search was called off as it began to get dark.

Authorities didn’t immediately identify the missing diver.
