TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Prosecutors say two teens charged with fatally shooting a man in a New Jersey parking lot earlier this year are going to be tried as adults.

NJ.com reports (https://bit.ly/2e9RIpU ) authorities say 16-year-old Divon Ray and 17-year-old Zakeem Brown fatally shot Ricardo Montalvan in May as he sat in his car in Trenton.

Mercer County prosecutors on Thursday said Ray told police Brown shot Montalvan during a robbery attempt.

Brown’s attorney says his client had previously been threatened by Montalvan and his nephew stemming from a recent fistfight between Brown and the nephew.

Bail was raised Thursday to $500,000 each. The teens remain jailed on charges including murder.

It’s not known if Ray has a lawyer.
