FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a police chase ended with shots being fired in Fort Lauderdale.

Multiple news outlets report that Florida Highway Patrol officials say a traffic stop late Tuesday afternoon led to the police chase when the vehicle’s driver refused to stop and fled from a trooper.

The short pursuit ended in a neighborhood, where FHP Sgt. Mark Wysocky says at some point, there was an altercation at the end of a street and shots were fired. No one was injured.

Officials did not confirm whether shots were fired by troopers or by someone else.

Wysocky says four people were detained for questioning. No arrests had been made as of Tuesday night.
