PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia police say road rage may have sparked a gun battle between occupants of two vehicles near Independence Mall.

Police say the shots rang out about 11 p.m. Tuesday, near the Liberty Bell.

Police tell WPVI-TV (https://6abc.cm/2dn8WyQ ) that occupants of a sport-utility vehicle and another vehicle traded shots before one suspect got out of the SUV and ran. Police and mall park rangers weren’t able to find him, but they say he left behind a passenger with special needs.

Police haven’t said whether they have any suspects or expect arrests.
