Sanderling Resort, the upscale Outer Banks resort located in Duck, North Carolina, is offering America’s heroes a special treatment as part of their annual “Heroes Welcome” fall promotion. The program’s main offer is a discounted nightly rate of $119, with an additional 20 percent off of dining, spa and retail.

And as part of the thank-you to servicemen and -women, Sanderling will offer 20 percent discounts on lodging, dining and retail purchases to military, fire and rescue, law enforcement, medical workers and teachers with valid identification.

Similarly, Sanderling will be offering a “Heroes Supporters Rate” rate to donate a minimum of $5 to benefit the Outer Banks Public Safety Auxiliary. Contributors will then receive 20 percent off their nightly room rates.

The “Heroes Welcome” rate is limited to American servicemen and -women who with valid identification. Beginning on Nov. 13, the promotional offer begins at will $119 per night. The rate for will run through March 15.

Sandwiched on a spit of land in between the Atlantic Ocean and Currituck Sound, Sanderling recently underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation, and has become one of the premier destinations for Outer Banks travelers. In addition to its signature restaurants and spa, the property now offers horse tours and water adventures.
