ROSWELL, N.M. (AP) - The search for a new city manager in Roswell is starting over as Mayor Dennis Kintigh’s selected candidate accepted a job offer elsewhere.

The Roswell Daily Record reports (https://bit.ly/2e4YXMN ) that Kintigh said with his choice withdrawing their candidacy he does not feel comfortable nominating any of the other finalists for the job. Kintigh declined to name his chosen finalist.

Roswell has been searching for a new city manager since former manager Steve Polasek announced in June that he would resign Aug. 1.

Rod Hogan, who works with the Strategic Government Resources personnel firm of Keller, Texas, is acting as interim city manager while the city searches for a permanent replacement.
