UTICA, N.Y. (AP) - A central New York man facing charges for allegedly setting fire to his father’s house has been sentenced for killing a woman’s show horse late last year.

WKTV-TV in Utica reports (https://bit.ly/2eeVJVj ) 43-year-old Robert Webster Jr., of Durhamville, was sentenced Thursday to 1 1/2 to four years in prison and ordered to make nearly $7,000 in restitution.

Webster pleaded guilty last month to a criminal mischief charge for shooting a show horse named Jak in a pasture in the town of Kirkland, near Utica, last December. Authorities say he used rifle to shoot the horse in the neck.

Webster also faces arson charges stemming from a fire last November at his father’s house in Verona Beach. Authorities say According Webster started the fire after an argument with his father at a bar.
