CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - An independent report has found that the Wyoming Game and Fish Department runs its programs efficiently, but needs to ask the public for more input.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/2eTUR9c ) that according to the study by the Wildlife Management Institute, Game and Fish should be asking the public if programs are necessary and wanted.

The report examined 12 Game and Fish programs and found the department suffers less from an efficiency problem and more from a public image problem.

Game and Fish Director Scott Talbott says the recommendations the report makes are worthwhile and that hopefully the department will be able to be more proactive with the help of additional public input, instead of being reactive.
