PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Rhode Island drivers are paying the same at the pump this week as they were in recent weeks.

AAA Northeast reports Monday that the cost of self-serve, regular gas still averages about $2.24 per gallon.

That average remains unchanged from the last two weeks but is still three cents above the national average of $2.21.

The average price for gas in Rhode Island was 10 cents lower a year ago.

AAA found self-serve, regular unleaded gas selling for as low as $2.04 to as high as $2.39 per gallon.
